A year after their album release last year, Tuys are back with new music. With “The Dream You Never Had”, Tuys continue to explore the realms between reality and fiction, between the lucid and the forgotten dream. The song’s chorus swims in sunrise and points to the festival season with anticipation. More tracks are planned for the rest of the year, leading up to an EP in 2025. After a highly conceptual album, the band felt the need for more naive songwriting and live oriented arrangements.
Between energetic live shows and cinematic videos, Tuys craft an exuberant mix of artistic sophistication and pop hooks. The band was founded in 2007 by three primary school friends and continues to be their life project with a new base in Berlin. They create driving art rock and emotive psych pop music with chiming guitars, synths, and wide-ranging vocals. Their music is accompanied by visual storytelling that explores metafiction and aesthetic satire.
Tuys have supported Arctic Monkeys, The 1975, Everything Everything, Imagine Dragons, Thirty Seconds to Mars and The Kooks in the past and played festivals such as ESNS23, Iceland Airwaves, MS Dockville, The Great Escape and Reeperbahn Festival. Their past album’s lead single “Look Alive” was featured in All New Rock, NMF BE and made it on the cover of Indie Goesting.
